Mercedes Afshar and Michel Fischer founded Paradigm, a Washington, D.C.-based architecture studio, in 2020. They believe that everyone deserves to live in well-designed environments that nourish and sustain them. They collaborate across disciplines to create social change and reimagine the places we work, play, and gather.Our team collaborated closely with Paradigm’s design team to develop a common language that meets users’ needs and concerns while also expressing Paradigm Office’s values.

Paradigm believes in thoughtful design and uses parametric forms in their work. Nonetheless, simplicity is a key value. The core concept is best represented in the office's logo design, which is combined with a P-letter monogram and an architectural structure. By integrating a light, modern, easy-going, yet structured color palette into the visual identity, the projects and images can be displayed in a calm and focused environment.
