Motte Launches in Dubai with a New Vision for Premium Carpets

Motte Carpet officially entered Dubai’s design scene on January 30, 2026, with a launch event at Sevil Dolmaci Art Gallery in Dubai Design District. Founded around a contemporary approach to premium carpets, the brand introduced its first collections to an audience of designers, architects, and design enthusiasts.

Motte Carpet brand launch brought together a curated selection of pieces developed in collaboration with a diverse group of designers, each translating a creative vision into an expression of material, pattern, and craftsmanship. As part of the brand’s creation, Motte’s visual identity and digital presence were developed by A4DH Branding Services.

Why Does a Premium Carpet Brand Need More Than a Beautiful Collection of Products?

The GCC’s growing investment in hospitality, residential developments and cultural spaces has created opportunities for premium brands positioned around craftsmanship, bespoke production, and design. At the same time, brands entering the market need to understand the expectations of a sophisticated  audience; Local context, architectural culture, and the growing demand for individuality all influence how a brand should position itself. For brands operating in this landscape, the product alone is only one part of the conversation.

A premium carpet brand needs to create a coherent brand experience across every point of contact; from how its collections are presented online to how they are experienced within a physical showroom. A well-defined carpet brand identity provides a cohesive framework across photography, digital presentation, packaging, catalogues, showroom design, and communication, ensuring that every touchpoint contributes to a consistent and recognizable brand experience.

The Story Behind Motte’s Visual Identity Design

For Motte, A4DH Branding Services built the visual identity around the most fundamental element of the product itself: the thread. The logic of warp and weft became the foundation for a visual system. Art Deco motifs and geometric patterns added a layer of elegance while curved forms reference the physical behaviour of a carpet as it drapes, bends, and adapts to a space. Rather than simply representing the appearance of the product, the identity captures something of its movement and materiality.

The colour palette was carefully composed around warm, earthy hues, while the letter M created a contemporary typographic expression through the logic of warp and weft.

We are delighted to see Motte begin this new chapter in Dubai and to have played a part in shaping the visual language of the brand. Explore collections and discover more about the brand on the official Motte website.
